Rough Itinary

This is a place collate ideas from other threads to try and get a detailed an itinary as possible before heading out.
I guess this will largely be the work of Tom & Will who will have information on the rivers.

Here is a bunch of information from Wade from our last call (on 4th July).
- Wade is getting in touch with some of the Sri Lankan press and hoping we get a bit of publicity that way.
- He has some good equipment and is keen on getting some filming done. This may mean we need a couple of days / even 3 days filming around Wades base (Kitugali).
- In the next week Wade is hoping to have a meeting with the Tourist Office. The thing he is hoping for is a 'waiver' type thing for the National Parks.
- Travel takes a long time, lots of beurocracy like in India. Without this waiver we might not get too far in the national parks.
- Multidays; probably not many. But we're hopiing to do some.
- Festivals: Wade is hoping to organise a river festival at some point over our time out there. Maybe a bit of a boater cross, big BBQ, mini creekboat rodeo, Try and get some locals involved. Bit of coaching etc.
There is a national 'Water celebration festival' type thing organised by the Sri Lankan Navy. It is held on a lake though... but apparently it is quite a big thing for the country. On 16th or 24th are the proposed dates.

- Temperature: Is 33degrees all year round ; Is 8deg minimum.
