So, what exactly are we getting from Lyon? My essentials that I need to get before leaving are drybags and a cag.

We got the Lyon Order yesterday.

Theres an 'interesting' selection! Some things will be more useful than others.
They wanted a list of all the things in order of preference, so we put the important things first, and to make it look like we needed lots of new kit we included loads of fillers (shades, torches etc).
Unfortunately they seem to have largely given us £700 of fillers...

We have lots of torches and dry bags. I'm not sure how to divide it up becuse it doesn't give us the price (so we can't make sure everyone has an equal(ish) share of the money). And different people will want different things.
I will probably put a list up on here and if people can put a request of all the things they need in order of preference. ...And then take it from there.

The important thing is though, we all have a new pair of shades...

No dry cag Sean.
Niamh has a job interview today, so after that she will try and get in touch with Palm. Palm are currently running low on stock at the moment though, so we may not get much from them.

What's your address. I'll try and get it sent off tomorrow.
hopefully will get there in time if I send it 1st class royal mail. It should do.
Incase we get Alpkit sponsorhip while you are away what would you want from Alpkit?
Same goes for Tom.
Elbow pads? ...guess we could try six six one.

What size shoes do you want. This goes for everyone. I'll put an order in but will need to get it done v. soon.

cheers, i would ideally like a lightweight raincoat of some kind, though not sure i need it for sri lanka....
can't really think of anything else specific that i need. I don't really want to spend too much more but if we are getting stuff free then a sleeping bag could be good (winter one would be preferred but that's probably being a bit cheeky as i won't use it on the trip)
hmmm... sleeping bag liner could be good though
The only thing i really need is a new deck

I would potentially be interested in elbow pads
if we could get someone selling shorty cags that would be great too

Basically, we might not be able to get the shoes delivered in time.
Start looking elswhere if you are desperate for them.

The email received:
So basically it comes down to how quick FiveTen can turn around and if they have 4 pair of boots in tstock...whioch they should..
Hi Dave
First of all I am away till next week, and there will be no-one to help you until tuesday. The trade show takes pretty much all of Big Stone staff, and all of Five Ten.
I will order your 5.10 stuff, but it will take a while to get that sorted at 5.10's end, so your deadline is looking a little shakey tonsay the least! What has to happen is that I place the order and 5.10 then email you an invoice. You then pay and they will send the goods out directly. As they are at the tradeshow, everything has slowed down. A two week turnaround time is cutting it very fine. I will see what I can do.
On Edelweiss, we will not be able to help you, sorry. We are formally finishing with the brand this week, and there is just no way that it will work out. So for the Edelweiss products I think you should look elsewhere.
Apologies again
Mo
I've replied asking whether the 5.10 distribution site is in the UK or abroad, that should give us an idea how likely we are to get the goods.

Think we need to get to TKMaxx
Hey Dave
My advice would be to play it safe. We are agents for all our brands which basically means we do not hold any stock in the UK, which does not help you at all.
If I was in your position I would look at other options. Really sorry.

Hey hey. So need to write a trip report and thank you with pictures to Lyon and Palm. Just gathering info now. I've got the picture of Sean in his shades in front of St. Claires so far. If anyone can think of any other good ones showing off kit that would be great. You and your hammock Will? Did we get one of that set up on greasy murderer night? Also has anyone done a 'trip report' yet, does anyone need to? I guesswe cld just pull it together from our blogs. Let me know if anyones done anything similar so I dont have to d o it again. Ta. And the photos remember the photos ta.

Trip report can definitely just be ripped from the blog. Would just need to change the tenses for some of the posts.
Do Palm need a trip report? I guess if we're doing one for Lyon we can just send it along too.
We're uptodate with Palm blogs, just need to finish the last one for our blog. I think Will is working on that.

I'm pretty sure Palm will want to be done with us ASAP, so Niamh are you ok in charge of the Palm deal again?
I'm working on a Press release for a few places, Will is doing the last blog.
Can anyone write an end of triip report for Lyon? (/standardise the language on our current blog)

Can't think of any particular photos for Lyon, but if we just get a selection of lifestyle, boating & culture it'll be fine.
